ABOUT SCHÖN

Built by family.
Built for generations.

SCHÖN is a father-and-son team building outdoor saunas for the Pacific Northwest and beyond—made to belong to the land, the home, and the people who use them.

A BUILDER + A SAUNA FANATIC

Built like a house.
Made for the heat.

One of us spent a career building luxury homes. The other became obsessed with sauna: the heat, the cold, the stillness, and the feeling of stepping outside afterward.

Together, we saw a better way to build an outdoor sauna. Not as a kit or a backyard accessory, but as a real small building—one designed around how people sauna and built with the care, weather protection, and lasting materials a Pacific Northwest home deserves.

That means thoughtful foundations, insulated assemblies, real ventilation, durable details, and rooms built around heat, water, and people. The things you do not always see are the things that make the experience better for decades.

Built to last.

01

Built like a house

Built on proper foundations with real weather protection and full insulation—so they hold up through every Pacific Northwest season.

Designed by nature’s laws

Wood-fired or electric heat. Real stones. Water on the rocks. Thoughtful ventilation, hidden fasteners, and benches designed to put you in the heat—not below it.

03

Made for generations

Every SCHÖN sauna is shaped around its site and the people who will gather there, with honest materials that can weather beautifully over time.
